If not haul ass in your car on the freeway while taking a selfie and you’ll have a better experience.Wallace's son and Rusty Wallace Inc.
At the end we got the picture of the car and a picture of her sitting on the car, both blurry! So yeah I would say if you have a lot of money to throw away and you can already drive a race car. She only went three of the 20 laps and then gave up and wanted to go home. She said the guy on the radio was yelling at her the whole time. Long story shorter she didn’t get the push out.so she never made it out of first gear. She went on the ride along and the guy driving didn’t say one word. When we get to the track the convinced us to get the insurance and a ride along package as well. That they deal with this all the time and they would push her on to the tracking second gear. They told me there was no chance of getting a refund. Five minutes after purchasing this package I called with the concern that my wife couldn’t drive a standard transmission. I got it for my wife who always wanted to drive a race car. I purchased 20 laps with the picture and video package about a year and a half ago. Horrible.I guess this experience is not for everyone. If you do this you'll have a good time and if you don't you did not pay attention to Art and your spotter. It was a Great experience and would do it again but would like to do a 50 lap run lol. Car stuck like glue in the corners and before long I was by myself on the track until the ridealong car came out and past me in no time at all. He told me I would be the lead car and the I went out on track kinda did a slow lap to make sure everything was OK and then I got on the gas and drove as fast as I could. Got in the car met my spotter and I was in car #78 but he keeped calling me #28 lol good one.
Did the ridealong for 3 fast laps and I paid attention to what and wear the driver was going and doing even listened to the engine the way it sounded and when he let off the gas and got back on the gas. day started out with Art my instructor and he has alote of knowledge about driving and these cars and then went out and got fitted with helmet driving suit and other gear. Wife surprised me with this at Sandusky speedway on 9-26-21 with a ride along and 20 lap solo.yes I have the best wife in the world. I hope this actually gets read and I get contacted back. I was basically guessing that I was told to either get down the track or pull off. I hear fine and also had trouble hearing the spotter.
If the drivers cant here you then that is a major problem.
Safety should be a major concern here most of all. They are shoving guys in and out of cars as fast as humanly possible not paying attention to the paper work which for people like me means alot considering I paid 160 dollars in upgrades that were ignored completely. Art the guy that did the class was awesome bit the second you got to pit row it was a complete crap show. Like anything in life it takes 1 person to ruin it.
After the garbage my dad just went through we were done at this point. I made 16 laps in a car that would literally fall on its face coming out of the turns and struggled to keep pace around the track. I asked the instructor if this was one of those cars and tells me yes he can turn them all up. He pulls in gets out of the car and they say you're next well I paid 160 dollars more to have the rpm package. Our friend also made 12 laps in a normal car. After this happens its time for me to get in my car.
The pit boss never eases up and continues to basically rip the gear off him in a very un professional way. My dad is apologizing repeatedly and telling him he couldn't hear anything with the gear they gave us as he told the instructor who put him in the car. The second he sees him he pulls off and makes his way back to pit row where he is met by the pit boss yelling and screaming at him asking why he didn't pull off the track. After he runs his laps and hearing static from the mic a few times the pit boss is attempting to flag him down which obviously as the drivers meeting states keep your eyes on what's in front of you he doesn't see him until the pit boss makes his way over the wall to flag him down. Well the second he gets in the car and geared up he tells the instructor that only one mic is working ( because just like the cars they are dated from the 90s) he says it will be fine sends him on his way.
My dad has hearing aids and we told them this repeatedly and we was assured all is fine. It was a neat experience but could've been 1000 times better. My father and I went to bristol sunday Oct 24.
